Subject Matter Expert: Jim Harris
Mr. Harris brings forty years of public safety, law enforcement, management and training experience to his clientele. Mr. Harris operates as a “Foreign Language Crime Specialist”. Mr. Harris gained the majority of his investigative experience over 26 years in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. During his tenure in law enforcement, Mr. Harris served both in the domestic United States and overseas. Domestic highlights include service at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and as the head of operations for the DEA in Florida and New Jersey. Internationally, Mr. Harris was stationed as the DEA Country Attaché in Hong Kong. Mr. Harris has extensive experience in Asia Pacific and South America where he worked with both local police and military officials and the US Ambassadors and intelligence community. Mr. Harris retired in 1994 and entered the private intelligence field:
During his career in the public and private sector Mr. Harris has been personally instrumental in:
- Hundreds of complex international investigations involving theft of Intellectual Property
- Major international cargo theft operations
- Numerous major insurance fraud and litigation support investigations for hospitals and insurance companies.
- Thousands of hours of undercover surveillance operations
- Multi country and multi jurisdictional crimes involving multiple languages
- Conducting National Security background investigations for the US government.
Mr. Harris has unique experience and abilities in investigations and training related to Asian organized crime, intermodal cargo theft, intellectual properties, patents, jewelry theft, money laundering and fraud. Mr. Harris was selected to attend the US Army War College, National Security Seminar, in June 2006.
